Workplace diversity refers to the variety of differences between people in an organisation. That sounds simple, but diversity includes race, gender, ethnic group, age, religion and more. Diversity not only involves how people see themselves, but how they see others, and this affects how they interact with others. For a wide assortment of employees to work together the organisation needs to have steps in place to deal effectively with issues such as communication, adaptability and change.
